Thanks to the wonders of email, our secretary gets a great many announcements for events within Scotland. As we all know the end of year lectures tend to be TBD within our respective syllabuses until the very last minute.
To help Forth Valley members organise their diaries, and anyone else who finds it useful, we have added a Scottish Events section.
If anyone has any event news that should be shared with members please email the secretary at email@example.com and we will add the event to our list.
Our thanks go to Shirley Ray for an excellent lecture on balloon modeling. Not only did she entertain and provide the ballooners amongst us with some new ideas but provided tips on getting those all important bookings. For those who do not do ballooning, it is always a joy to watch a real expert at work.
Shirley is a former member of Forth Valley Magic Circle and worked under the name of Auntie Rainbow. Shirley Ray is a third generation magician, a versatile and experienced performer. She is also one of the worlds leading balloon figure artists. Shirley Ray is one of the top elite instructors teaching at balloon conventions around the world. She was born in Edinburgh and brought up in the world of magic tricks. Shirley has won a number of prestigious awards, including the Scottish Shield for magic.
Forth Valley Magic Circle member Pete Kinney has kindly submitted a video performance of him participating in the Childrens Entertainers World Championships. Pete is the one with the big mouth. Maybe next year he’ll be the one entering the competition. Come on Pete.
