Comedian, magician, philanthropist, corporate spokesman, motivational speaker and more. Michael Finney has more sides to his life than a well-cut diamond. There is an authenticity to him that seems to disarm an audience instantly, causing everyone to feel as if a friend has just stepped on stage. One reason for the respect Finney gets from other professionals may be the incredible amount of entertainment he’s able to squeeze out of what seems to be so little. Give him a deck of cards, a pair of scissors, a rope and for the next hour the crowd can have the time of their lives! Finney’s confidence is a by-product of sincerity and the audience connects with it and feeds it back to him in a beautiful way. In Michael’s case, sincerity and authenticity transform a simple mixture of character, context, humor, and magic into something that not only entertains but inspires. It should be said that Michel Finney works clean! Many years of performing in comedy clubs have been assimilated into corporate work, creating an instinct for what’s appropriate at every venue – something his clients have learned they can depend on.
We expect this to be a sell out so if you plan on coming along can you contact secretary@forthvalleymagic.co.uk this will help us with the seating arrangements.

Kozmo, hot off the cover of Magic Magazine, is the creator of Kozmo Magic, which is recognized as one of today’s premier magic video production companies. His “Reel Magic Magazine” continues to be the benchmark in the video magic industry. Kozmo, is acknowledged to be one of the top street performers in the world today
Kozmo will begin his lecture with a performance of his professional street act. This is a treat in and of itself. Kozmo will proceed to explain each effect in his street act. Kozmo pushes the envelope by teaching you why he has chosen each effect and why he has placed each effect where it is in his act.
You will hear Kozmo talk about conditions on the street. He will give you his thoughts on how to make your “hats” bigger. You will laugh at some of the anecdotes you will hear, including a great story about Harry Anderson.
Kozmo will show you how the principles of performing in the street can also be applied to the restaurant magic venue as well as the trade-show floor.
You may well jump for joy, as there is ONLY ONE card trick in the lecture. To some of you this may be your motivation to attend the lecture.

Congratulations to Jody Greig once again, as he finally collects his Trophy for winning The Forth Valley Magic Circle Club competition that took place last November.

Congratulations once again Jody from all at Forth Valley Magic Circle.
On Monday 17th January, Forth Valley Magic Circle are hosting an informal evening with colleagues and friends from West Lothian Magic Circle. This is a reverse invitation as West Lothian invited us through last year for a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
This is an informal night, but it would be appreciated if everyone could take part in the proceedings with a couple of tricks.
As usual we will be meeting at 7.30pm, at The Station Hotel, Larbert.
Congratulations to this years Forth Valley Club Competition winner Jody Greig!
Jody who has only been a member of the club for 3 months took the top honour with a dazzling display of dexterity. Using a wide range of magic including cards, coins and Fire! Here Jody is being congratulated by Kenny Hurren who was the compere for the night. We look forward to presenting Jody with the Cup at the next club meeting.
Second place went to Graham Keane, with his partial silent routine similar to what many a street performer would like to have in their repertoire! Third place was shared by Archie Smith and Tommy Baxter.
The next SAM’s meeting will take place on 7th November, at the Mariner Liesure Centre, Glasgow Road, Camelon, FK1 4HJ at 10.30am.

Forth Valley Magic Circle are delighted to announce that Michael Ammar is offering a Private Workshop prior to his UK lecture.
If we have enough magicians interested in the workshop, the plan is to start the workshop at 5:30pm and the lecture at 7:30pm (90 minutes, with 30 min break in between).
The price is £25 per person (excluding lecture fee of £10). Michael likes to have 6-12 participants. It’s a “hands-on” experience, where Michael teaches three effects not covered in the workshop. The guests get some “goodies” too – making it good value. We envisage a huge demand for the workshop so it’s first come, first served.
Anyone who has seen Michael lecture on previous visits will know the very high quality of his presentations. Part of Michael Ammar’s lecture will include a video support to enhance some of the items he will be demonstrating.
We look forward to meeting you on 11th October, at The Staion Hotel, 2 Foundry Loan, Larbert, FK5 4AW, (right next door to Larbert Railway Station).
