A sizeable number of working magicians had let the Scottish Conjuror’s Association know that they were disappointed to miss out on visiting lecturers appearing in Glasgow on a Sunday afternoon (a historical tradition, meant to allow travel in daylight on 1960′s trunk roads!!).
To this end, we have arranged for Dan Garrett’s Lecture to be held on a SUNDAY EVENING in a bid to allow more people to attend. The Lecture will be held in the Walton Conference Centre in the grounds of the Southern General Hospital, Glasgow.
G51 4TF for SAT NAV will get you to the Southern , but the grounds are extensive. The Walton Centre is midway between the Govan Road and Hardgate road entrances. From Govan Road , head up the main drive, under the bridge, past helipad on Right, till the road takes a 90˚ turn. The Walton is 50 yards on your right. From Hardgate Road drive past the Maternity Unit, past two blocks of flats and the Walton is on your left, parking is on your right.
Hospital parking is free at weekends, but we may clash with visiting hours…Parking is available across the road from the Walton Centre. There is a carpark adjacent to the centre marked for pass holders only. Unlikely to be parking attendants around on a Sunday Evening, but…park here at your own risk!!!
