I’m sure that anyone who attended the lecture last week will agree that it was one of the best we’ve had at the club. Here are some pictures from the night. Our thanks to all who attended and of course to Etienne himself.
Etienne Pradier will be lecturing as a guest of Forth Valley Magic Circle on the 8th February 2010 at the Station Hotel, 2 Foundry Loan, Larbert, FK5 4AW.
Born in France, Etienne became fascinated by magic at an early age and rapidly made a name for himself as a truly gifted close-up magician that was assured to be “going somewhere.” And he did … twice! He moved to England and achieved international recognition as one of the world’s finest close-up table magicians. After only 3 years as a member of the elite ‘Magic Circle’, he was invited to take membership of the ‘Inner Magic Circle, with Gold Star’ in recognition of his excellence as a professional magician. Uniquely skilled, creative, charismatic and immensely entertaining, Etienne Pradier is now one of the UK’s most successful London UK based magicians.
The lecture will begin at 7.45pm (we would advise you to arrive early to get a good seat). Non-members will be charged an entry fee of £10.
Glasgow Magic Circle are proud to present a lecture by Tony Griffith. This is a lecture on commercial, practical magic that uses material Tony has created and performed over many years. Emphasis is upon entertainment, subtlety and routining.

Wednesday October 28th 2009 at 7.30pm at the Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre 10 Balcarres avenue, Kelvindale, Glasgow, G12 0QF
A sizeable number of working magicians had let the Scottish Conjuror’s Association know that they were disappointed to miss out on visiting lecturers appearing in Glasgow on a Sunday afternoon (a historical tradition, meant to allow travel in daylight on 1960’s trunk roads!!).
To this end, we have arranged for Dan Garrett’s Lecture to be held on a SUNDAY EVENING in a bid to allow more people to attend. The Lecture will be held in the Walton Conference Centre in the grounds of the Southern General Hospital, Glasgow.
G51 4TF for SAT NAV will get you to the Southern , but the grounds are extensive. The Walton Centre is midway between the Govan Road and Hardgate road entrances. From Govan Road , head up the main drive, under the bridge, past helipad on Right, till the road takes a 90˚ turn. The Walton is 50 yards on your right. From Hardgate Road drive past the Maternity Unit, past two blocks of flats and the Walton is on your left, parking is on your right.
Hospital parking is free at weekends, but we may clash with visiting hours…Parking is available across the road from the Walton Centre. There is a carpark adjacent to the centre marked for pass holders only. Unlikely to be parking attendants around on a Sunday Evening, but…park here at your own risk!!!
